A Caney senior cross country runner earns a bronze medal at the state meet in Lawrence.

 

Senior Simeon Sanchez placed third in his final high school race, finishing with a time of 16:11.79, which was 26 seconds off the winning pace set by Brody Deniston of Holcomb.

 

Cash Brown of Caney placed 27th with a time of 17:31.31.

 

Other Bullpups to run in the 3A state meet were Silas Good, Braydon Messner, Luke Heater, Reuben Sanchez, and Colton Brumbelow.

 

The Bullpups finished in fifth place in the boys' team standings.
