Red Raven men's basketball begins a new season tonight at Nellis Hall, and returning sophomore Rashid Kuta is expected to be among one of the best players in the KJCCC this season.

 

Kuta appeared in 32 games as a freshman, averaging 10.9 points and seven rebounds per game, earning 2nd-Team All-KJCCC. The forward recently announced his commitment to Division 1 North Texas University, the same school that former Raven Tylor Perry committed to.

 

Kuta says he's been working hard to make his game more well-rounded this year.

 

The Ravens are expected to have one of the deepest and most talented teams in the Jayhawk conference, in the middle of title contention. Kuta says he's surrounded by talented players.

 

Rashid and the Ravens open the season tonight at Nellis Hall, with coverage at 7 p.m. CT on US 98 and the Red Raven Sports Network.
