Red Raven basketball gets a new season underway this weekend, and KGGF continues the player profile series with sophomore returner Kaason Thomas.
Thomas appeared in 25 games in his freshman season, averaging 3.7 points per game, and leading the team in free throw percentage. He says he's been working on his technique on the defensive end this offseason.
The Red Ravens have high expectations this season, being projected to win the KJCCC and beginning the season ranked in the Top 10 in the nation. Thomas says this year's group doesn't take any days off.
Thomas scored a career-high 17 points in a win over Southwestern JV last season, and scored 15 in a win over Cloud County. Kaason and the Ravens open the season on Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT from Nellis Hall.
