Red Raven men's basketball returns to the court this weekend, and KGGF continues the player profile series with returning sophomore guard Konstantin Popovic.
Popovic is one of four returners on Jay Herkelman's squad this season. He appeared in 29 games as a freshman, averaging 4.8 points per game, and shooting 36% from 3-point range.
He says he's been working hard to develop his game ahead of his sophomore year.
The Ravens open the season as the No. 8 team in the nation, and are the preseason favorites to win the KJCCC league championship. Popovic says the guys in the locker room have even higher expectations.
Konstantin scored 15 points in a game twice last season, and had a career-high 16 points in a win over Independence in January. Popovic and the Red Ravens open the season Saturday night at Nellis Hall.
