Raven Offense Struggles in Loss to Hutchinson

A sloppy forecast in Hutchinson turned into a sloppy evening for the Red Ravens on the football field, struggling to get anything going in a 31-0 loss to the Blue Dragons.

Coffeyville ran 70 total offensive plays, but averaged just 2.3 yards per play, finishing with a total of 159 yards on the evening. Hutchinson was held to 339 yards, well below their season average, but averaged 5.3 yards per play.

The Blue Dragons forced three turnovers, recovering two fumbles and returning one for a touchdown, and forcing the first interception of the season from quarterback Mac Armstrong. The Hutchinson defense also generated pressure, finishing with five sacks on the evening.

The Red Ravens will aim to get back on track as the season enters the final month, returning home to face Ellsworth on Saturday afternoon. CCC has two conference games remaining, against Dodge City and Independence, which both take place in mid-November.
