Red Raven men's basketball opens a new season as the team to beat in the Jayhawk conference, projected as the top team in the KJCCC with six total first-place votes.

 

The Red Ravens are coming off a second-place finish with a 23-9 record, falling to Barton in the Region VI semifinals.

 

Cowley and Barton land in a tie for second-place in the preseason rankings, with Hutchinson and Butler rounding out the Top 5. Dodge City land at six, with Independence seven, Garden City eight, Cloud County nine, Pratt tenth, Colby eleventh, Seward County twelfth, and Fort Hays Tech thirteenth.

 

The Red Ravens open the season as the No. 8 team in the nation, and host Southwestern JV next Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT, on both US 98 and the Red Raven Sports Network.
