A pair of Red Raven football players have been recognized by the Jayhawk conference, earning Player of the Week honors after a 34-21 win over Iowa Central.

 

Redshirt freshman quarterback Mac Armstrong completed 17 of 24 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns, along with 37 rushing yards in the team's win. Armstrong has 13 total touchdowns this season, without turning the ball over, in his first season in Coffeyville.

 

Freshman defensive back Nakarius Allen had his best game of the season Saturday, with nine total tackles, including a tackle for loss, and fumble recovery in the fourth quarter that ensured a Raven victory. Allen is from Birmingham, Alabama, and has 11 tackles in three games played this season, with a pass breakup as well.

 

Coffeyville travels to Hutchinson on Saturday night to take on the No. 1 Blue Dragons, in a battle of the Top 2 teams in the KJCCC this season.
