Cherryvale football plays their final home game of the regular season tonight, hosting the Bluestem Lions.
The Chargers were able to snap a brief two-game losing streak by beating Galena in Week 6, while Bluestem is having one of their best seasons in recent memory, sitting at 3-3 with a revamped offense.
Cherryvale Head Coach Harry Hester says the Lions are a completely different program this year.
It's a night of celebration for the Chargers, with it being both Senior Night, as well as the 50th anniversary of the 1975 state runner-up team. Hester says this senior class has stepped up big time.
Coverage of Cherryvale and Bluestem begins tonight at 6:45 p.m. CT with kickoff at 7 on Classic Hits 104.1, KGGF.
