Kansas State has their signature win of the Big 12 season, defending home field and beating the TCU Horned Frogs 41-28 on Saturday in Manhattan.
Quarterback Avery Johnson played an efficient game, scoring three touchdowns without turning the ball over. Senior linebacker Desmond Purnell, a Topeka native, had two interceptions in the win, including a pick-six.
The Wildcats improve to 3-4 on the season, and 2-2 in league play. The team is on a bye week this week as they prepare for the Sunflower Showdown, traveling to Lawrence to battle the Jayhawks next weekend.
