The West Elk Patriots prepare for the second half of the season, traveling to battle the Spartans of CedarVale/Dexter.

 

The Patriots sit at 1-3 thus far on the season, with losses to three top teams in the area in Oxford, Oswego, and Argonia/Attica. West Elk Head Coach Ian Denton says the team needs to do a better job of matching urgency on the field.

 

The Spartans are 3-1 this season, narrowly escaping Sedan in last week's game. Denton says the Patriots are looking to create some big plays against the CVD defense.

 

West Elk and CedarVale/Dexter kick off Friday night at 7 p.m.
