A Chanute High School soccer star recently accomplished something that has never been done in program history.

 

Senior forward Anapaula Franco is the first girl from Chanute to sign to play soccer at Neosho County Community College.

 

The senior is a two-sport athlete for the Blue Comets, also playing for the basketball team.

 

Franco will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact in college, as the Neosho County women's soccer team is currently 2-6-1 on the season, with 13 goals scored in nine games played.
