The Lady Ravens rallied from an early deficit to win a thriller against rival Independence in the Montgomery County Classic.

 

The Pirates took the opening set 25-21, and led the second set until a late timeout. The Ravens would respond to win each of the next three sets 27-25, 25-15, and 25-23.

 

The win marks the 10th win of the season for the team, surpassing their total from the 2024 season before the halfway point of the 2025 season. Head Coach Kandi Midgett also improves to 2-0 in her career against ICC.

 

Freshman Prayer Roebuck finished with 10 kills, Ava Ashcroft had 15 kills, and Ainsley Scott had nine kills. The Lady Ravens host a tri-meet on Saturday, battling both Dallas College Mountain View and John Brown University.
