South Coffeyville Looks to Get Back on Track

The South Coffeyville Lions football team is looking to get back in the win column, traveling to take on area rival Copan this week.

The Lions have dropped back-to-back games, losing a narrow contest to Foyil last week after a loss to Claremore Christian in Week 3. The Hornets enter the week with a 3-1 record, and feature one of the best offenses in the area, scoring at least 48 points in each of their three wins.

South Coffeyville Head Coach Rich Gieson says his team will need to be disciplined to beat Copan this week.

It is the final game for South Coffeyville before district play starts next week, with kickoff between the Lions and Hornets scheduled for 7 p.m. CT Friday night.
