Strong Defense Earns Chiefs First Win

The Kansas City Chiefs found a way to dig deep and pick up their first win of the 2025 season, traveling to East Rutherford, New Jersey, and defeating the New York Giants 22-9.

Kansas City took time to get the offense going, with only three Harrison Butker field goals in the first half. Patrick Mahomes threw a touchdown to Tyquan Thornton in the third quarter, and Kareem Hunt delivered the dagger with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Nick Bolton and George Karlaftis combined for 24 tackles and five tackles for loss in the victory, and the defense was able to collect two interceptions against Giants' quarterback Russell Wilson.

Kansas City returns to Arrowhead Stadium this week, hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon.
