The Kansas Jayhawks impressed in their conference opener over the weekend, routing the West Virginia Mountaineers 41-10 in Lawrence.

 

The Jayhawks ran the football well all night, with 242 team rushing yards, led by 129 yards from senior LeShon Williams. Quarterback Jalon Daniels finished with three touchdown passes, without turning the ball over.

 

The KU defense also showed up, forcing a pair of turnovers, as well as sacking the opposing quarterback twice on the night.

 

Jayhawk football is off to a 3-1 start, and win their Big 12 opener for the first time since 2023. The team hosts the Cincinnati Bearcats this week, with coverage beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Classic Hits 104.1 FM.
