Cherryvale Looking for Bounce Back

It's the home opener for the Cherryvale Chargers, who are looking to bounce back and find the win column for the first time in 2025.

Cherryvale welcomes the Humboldt Cubs to town, in a matchup of two Tri-Valley League teams battling for their first respective win of the season. The Chargers dropped a road game to Neodesha 33-6 last week, while the Cubs were shutout 38-0 in Caney.

Cherryvale Head Coach Harry Hester says the Cubs have great size on the line.

Not only is it the home opener, but also Military Appreciation Night in Cherryvale. Hester says he anticipates a great crowd for tonight's game.

Cherryvale and Humboldt will kick off at 7 p.m. CT.
