Red Ravens Using Bye Week to Improve

Red Raven football is on a bye week, as they prepare for a road matchup with the Garden City Broncbusters next Saturday night.

The Ravens are hoping to have a short memory, following a 21-14 overtime loss to Cisco in the season opener. CCC had opportunities to win in regulation, but costly penalties and stalled drives hurt the Ravens in the end.

Head Coach Nick Dobler says the coaching staff has already begun working on issues of weakness.

Coffeyville dropped an overtime game to Garden City last season, which was eventually overturned to a win following an ineligibility scandal for the Broncbusters. The Ravens haven't defeated Garden City on the field since 2022.

Dobler says the team is determined to play better next weekend.

Coverage of Garden City and Coffeyville begins next Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. CT on US 98.1 FM.
