Coffeyville Community College couldn't make enough plays to defeat the Cisco Wranglers, falling 21-14 in overtime at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Both defenses shined in the first half, with Cisco taking a 7-0 lead to the locker room after a 19-yard touchdown run by Keith Rockwell. Rockwell finished with three total touchdowns on the day.
Coffeyville found the endzone for the first time in the third quarter, when quarterback Mac Armstrong connected with wide receiver Khris Thomas for a 17-yard touchdown pass. Later in the quarter, safety Da'Mare Williams would return an interception for a 45-yard touchdown to give CCC the lead.
Cisco tied the game on the final play of the third quarter, and would take the lead in overtime, before stopping the Ravens on fourth down to end the game.
Coffeyville finished the day with two missed field goals and 12 team penalties in the loss. The team will have a bye week before traveling to Garden City on September 20th.
