The 2025 season couldn't have started much better for the Neodesha Blue Streaks, who cruised to a 33-6 win over rival Cherryvale in front of the home fans.
A pair of first-quarter touchdowns set the tone early, with a 22-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Tayte Leck to junior J'Vonte White, followed by a 16-yard rushing score by senior Cole Ramey.
Cherryvale would score their lone touchdown of the night in the third quarter, as sophomore Wyatt Duncan found the endzone on a two-yard rush. The Blue Streak defense had five fourth-down stops on the evening.
Neodesha will look to start 2-0 and will face Bluestem next week, while Cherryvale will look to get back on track against Humboldt.
