Cherryvale Chargers football kicks off this weekend, with the team opening the season on the road against league-rival Neodesha.

 

Cherryvale finished the 2024 season with a 3-6 record, and are led by head coach Harry Hester, who enters his second stint as head coach, and 13th overall season leading the program.

 

The Chargers will be debuting sophomore Wyatt Duncan at the quarterback position. Hester says the underclassmen has earned this opportunity.

 

Cherryvale was able to defeat Neodesha in their matchup last season, with a 20-7 victory in a defensive battle. Hester says this matchup means a little more than the average game.
