The Independence Bulldogs are fired up to take the next step, and compete for an SEK league title in 2025.

 

IHS is led by third-year head coach Kendall Fiscus, and are looking for their first season above .500 since the 2016 campaign.

 

Despite a winless 2024, the program was able to get many underclassmen valuable reps at the varsity level. Fiscus says the team's senior class has played a lot of football together.

 

The Bulldog offense had struggles to build consistency last season, and the team is looking for players to emerge and lead on that side of the ball. Fiscus says the focus has been on the program's culture this summer.

 

Independence opens the season at home against the Columbus Titans on Friday night.
