The Hutchinson Blue Dragons are once again the team to beat in the Jayhawk Conference, coming off an 11-1 season and a national championship game victory.
The Blue Dragons are led by sixth-year head coach Drew Dallas, who is 49-5 in his tenure at Hutch, including 28-3 in conference play.
Despite plenty of convincing wins and strong performances, the Dragons did have a few scares early in the season, as well as a mid-season loss to Butler. Dallas says the team needs to stay out of their own way in 2025.
Hutch lost quite a bit of talent from last season's team, including NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year Waymond Jordan Jr, and starting quarterback Samari Collier. Dallas says, despite this, he likes the talent he has coming back to Hutchinson.
The Blue Dragons open the 2025 season on the road against New Mexico Military on Saturday.
