The Kansas State Wildcats narrowly avoided disaster Saturday night, scoring a game-winning touchdown in the final minute to edge the North Dakota Fighting Hawks 38-35.
Avery Johnson finished with 350 total yards of offense and three touchdown passes, while wide receiver Jayce Brown was getting open all game, finishing with 12 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Both teams were nearly identical in penalties, time of possession, and third-down percentage, but KSU did just enough to escape Bill Snyder Family Stadium with their first win of the season.
The Wildcats are 1-1 thus far, and take on the Army Black Knights on Saturday night.
