Highland Community College football will be led by a new head coach in 2025, looking to remain a contender in the Jayhawk Conference.
Tom Minnick takes over as the head coach of the Scotties, after spending five seasons at Garden City. With inexperience on both the roster and sidelines for Highland, expectations are unclear entering Week 1. Minnick says it will be a challenge early in the season.
The Scotties have plenty of fresh faces on each side of the ball this fall. Minnick says the team is embracing a mentality of surprising the rest of the conference.
Highland opens with three consecutive home games. Minnick says it will be crucial to build momentum early.
The Scotties open the season next Saturday against Snow College.
