Raven Football Picked Fourth in Preseason Projections

 

Coffeyville Community College has been projected to finish in fourth place in the KJCCC this football season, with Hutchinson the selected favorite for the seventh-consecutive season.

 

The Blue Dragons are the defending national champions, after an 11-1 season in which they shared the 2024 KJCCC championship with Butler and Coffeyville. Hutchinson received six of the seven total first place votes.

 

Garden City is selected to place second in the conference, receiving the final first place vote, with the Butler Grizzlies projected to finish third. The Broncbusters are led by second-year coach Kiyoshi Harris, while Butler is led by former defensive coordinator Kyle Woodall, entering his first season as head coach.

 

Coffeyville is aiming to build off a 9-3 season under head coach Nick Dobler, that had the team finish in the Top 10 in the national rankings. Dodge City, Independence, and Highland rounds out the seven ranked teams in the preseason polls.

 

Both Independence and Dodge City get the football season started with games on August 23rd. Highland and Butler both open their seasons on August 30th, while Coffeyville, Hutchinson, and Garden City all kick off on September 6th.
