A pair of Kansas boys from Wichita and Hutchinson have been selected to join the U.S. youth futsal international team, which will compete in Argentina next month.

 

Nine-year old Eli Mbawuike of Wichita, as well as 10-year old Scott David Conklin of Hutchinson, will travel to Argentina and competing against some of the world's best futsal clubs and federations.

 

Futsal is a modified form of soccer played with five players per side on a smaller, and typically indoor field.

 

Eli plays for the Sporting Wichita Academy and Scott David plays for Hutchinson Soccer Club Azzurri.
