Bartlesville High School has another Division 1 commit, this one coming from the girls' basketball program.

 

Sami Sheaffer has committed to the Unviersity of Central Arkansas to continue her basketball career, announcing her decision over the weekend.

 

Sheaffer was the leading scorer on the Lady Bruins last season, her first season with the program after spending time at Oklahoma Union and a homeschool team. She averaged 13 points per game for Bartlesville, in a season where they went 13-12 before losing to Westmoore in 6A Regionals.

 

Bruins' head coach Justyn Shaw says Sheaffer is improving as a player and leader heading into her senior season.

 

Sheaffer, Emma Zimmerman, and Kenzie Denny are the three main returners for the Lady Bruins this season. Central Arkansas plays in the Atlantic Sun conference, and finished 23-10 last season.
