The 2025 college football season kicks off in just over a month, and a number of Jayhawk conference defensive ends are listed as players to watch this season.
Hutchinson has three players on the list, with Demarcus Johnson, J'Lynn Allen, and Darius Wiley all selected. Johnson had 29 tackles and four sacks in his freshman season, while Allen and Wiley redshirted, but stand 6-foot-7 each.
Butler's Mark Debiak makes the list after 27 tackles and four sacks in his freshman campaign.
Highland and Independence each had a player named as well, with Ajahvea Robinson the Pirates' representative after seven sacks in his freshman season, while Highland features Justin Smith, who had eight tackles in limited time.
For the Red Ravens, Kameron Cyprien is expected to lead the edge rusher room, after 17 tackles, four tackles for loss, and a forced fumble in his freshman season. Additionally, Oklahoma State transfer Jalen Atkins is anticipated to be an immediate impact player at defensive end as well.
