New Raven Running Back Ready to Work

Red Raven football is looking to continue the tradition of strong running backs, and an Oklahoma State transfer is a key piece in making that a reality in 2025.

Running back CJ Williams Jr transfers to Coffeyville after two seasons in Stillwater, where he made the team as a walk-on in 2023. Williams says there's some similarities between OSU and CCC.

Williams never saw the field in game action, but was a two-time Cowboy practice player of the week. He says he brings major work ethic to the Red Ravens.

The running back was with the team earlier this summer, and will be a part of the Raven running game, which features returners Steven Robinson and Charles Morgan, fellow D1 transfer Jordan Louie, and a talented freshman class. Williams says he's working on improving his explosiveness this summer.

CJ and the Ravens open the season against the Cisco Wranglers on September 6th at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
