More details are now known regarding the new arena for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

 

Plans for the new arena were revealed earlier this week, with the official opening window set for late summer of 2028.

 

The new arena will be over 750,000 square feet, which will include an outside garden area to compliment the Myriad Gardens. The current arena is the NBA's smallest in terms of square footage.

 

Seating capacity has not yet been determined, but is estimated to be close to 17,000. The venue will also include a retractable scoreboard, luxury green rooms, crew rooms, and other standardized production facilities to deliver world-class events efficiently.

 

MANICA Architecture was chosen to be the official designers of the new arena last year.
