After winning nine or more games three consecutive years, the Kansas State Wildcats are determined to be the top team in the Big 12 in 2025.
KSU finished 9-4 in the 2024 season, but dropped out of conference championship contention with three late-season losses to Houston, Arizona State, and Iowa State.
The Wildcats open the season in Ireland against Iowa State on August 23rd. Head Coach Chris Klieman says it's a chance to grow the brand of the team and the conference.
KSU is once again projected to be a top contender in the conference, ranked as the No. 1 team in the Big 12 on multiple publications. Klieman says, however, the key is for the guys in the locker room to not pay attention to the expectations.
Avery Johnson returns to start at quarterback, now entering his junior season and second season as a starter. Klieman says Johnson has been working hard to get even better this season.
Following the Ireland game, the Wildcats return to Manhattan to battle North Dakota on August 30th, and Army on September 6th.
