Jayhawks Eager to Bounce Back in 2025

The Kansas Jayhawks are looking to ascend back to conference title contention in 2025, after an underwhelming 5-7 season a year ago.

Senior quarterback Jalon Daniels returns to lead the offense that is replacing three senior wide receivers, and all-conference running back Devin Neal. Head Coach Lance Leipold says Daniels is back to his old form.

The Jayhawks got off to a 2-6 start, losing one score-games to illinois, UNLV, West Virginia, Arizona State, and Kansas State. Leipold says despite the tough stretch, the locker room did a great job of staying together.

KU will also have a new face leading the offense this season, with Jim Zebrowski taking over as offensive coordinator following Jeff Grimes departing for Wisconsin. Leipold says he has plenty of experience and trust in Zebrowski.

The Jayhawks open the 2025 season with back-to-back home games, opening with Fresno State on August 23rd, before hosting Wagner on August 29th.
