Although this week is a mandated dead period from the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association, the Nowata football team has been working hard to get ready for the 2025 season.

 

The Ironmen have been conducting full team activities the past several weeks leading up to the pause, and look to build off a postseason appearance with a young roster in 2025.

 

Head Coach Chance Juby says his inexperienced receiver room has gotten reps in the summer passing league.

 

Nowata went 3-7 last season, and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in five years. Juby says he's liked how returners have embraced leadership roles on the team.

 

Nowata opens the season against Pawhuska on August 29th.
