Now less than two months away from the start of volleyball season, the Red Ravens will be counting on some local talent to help take a step forward in 2025.
CCC has five local products from Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma on the roster, including former Neodesha star Prayer Roebuck. Head Coach Kandi Midgett says Roebuck is the type of player that can contribute from day one.
Another local talent is former Cherryvale Charger LiliAnn Whittley, who the Ravens intend to use as a setter. Midgett says Whittley has already gotten to work on her game.
Other local players on the 2025 roster are Caney Valley's Serenity Burk, Riverton's Josie Harper, and Oklahoma Union's Ava Smith. Midgett says she's always looking for local talent that can make an impact.
Lady Raven volleyball opens with scrimmages on August 14th and 20th, before competing in the Ranger Tournament on August 22nd.
