One of the top Southeast Kansas softball talents in the Class of 2025 will be continuing her career at Coffeyville Community College.

 

Heather Mowdy of PIttsburg High School put pen to paper last week, committing to Head Coach Ashton Friend and the Red Ravens.

 

Mowdy says the direction the Ravens are heading was exciting to her.

 

Mowdy finished her senior season batting .439 for the Purple Dragons, with nine doubles, seven triples, and 24 stolen bases, with a 96% stolen base success rate. She is also an elite defender, with a .985 fielding percentage at second base.

 

Heather will play middle infield for the Red Ravens, with the versatility to move around the diamond.
