A pair of Independence Community College men's basketball stars who earned all-conference honors announced their commitments to Division 1 programs to continue their career.
Guard Chiante Tramble, a freshman out of Edmond, Oklahoma, will be continuing his career with the Southern Mississiippi Golden Eagles, in Conference USA. Tramble led the conference in scoring at 23.3 points per game, and had six games scoring at least 30, including a career high 41 in a game against Hutchinson, and was named all-conference first team.
Additionally, sophomore forward Chris Dockery, from Las Vegas, Nevada, will continue his career at the University of Missouri Kansas City, out of the Summit League. Dockery was second-team all-conference and averaged 16.9 points and seven rebounds per game, shooting 57% from the field.
The Pirates finished the season with a 12-19 record, and lost in overtime to Garden City in the opening round of the region tournament.
