Ravens Reflect on NFL Draft Pick

The Red Raven football program is feeling excitement after watching a former Raven reach the NFL over the weekend.

Zah Frazier was the fifth-round pick of the Chicago Bears out of the University of Texas San Antonio, but played two seasons with the Red Ravens before the FBS journey.

Athletic Director Bryce Saia says watching athletes achieve their dreams is one of the best parts of the job.

Frazier was recruited to CCC by then first-year defensive coordinator and now head coach Nick Dobler. Dobler says it's a full circle moment to see a player get to the mountain top.

Frazier was a standout playmaker on the Raven defense, forcing four turnovers and accounting for 48 tackles. Saia says that kind of ability can make an impact at any level.

The defensive back becomes the latest CCC alum to reach the pro ranks, building to the tradition of CCC football. Dobler says it's a testiment to what a player can do at the JUCO level.

Frazier will participate in rookie mini camp next month, and will aim to make the Bears' 53-man roster.
