The Kansas City Chiefs used their first pick of the 2025 NFL Draft to continue adding depth to the offensive line room.
Kansas City drafted offensive tackle Josh Simmons with the No. 32 overall pick, out of Ohio State University. Simmons is 6-foot-5 and 317 pounds, and spent three seasons as a starter, one at San Diego State before two with the Buckeyes.
Head Coach Andy Reid says Simmons is a guy that checks a lot of boxes.
The left tackle has received praise from NFL scouts about his athleticism and quickness, allowing him to stay in front of elite edge rushers with speed and power. Simmons says he knew Kansas City was interested early.
It is unknown if Simmons will participate in rookie mini camp due to recovery from a serious knee injury, but he is expected to be ready for training camp this summer.
