A pair of Southeast Kansas high school boys golf teams are among the state's best on the links this year.

 

The Independence Bulldogs are the No. 3 ranked team in the 4A rankings, behind Wamego and Topeka Hayden. The Bulldogs are competing in the Ark City Invitational today, and will host a varsity invitational on May 5th.

 

Caney Valley comes in at No. 5 in the 3A Team Rankings, behind Wichita Collegiate, Hesston, Wichita Trinity Academy, and Goodland. The Bullpups compete next at the Columbus Invitational on Tuesday, and will host a tournament on May 12th.

 

The team golf rankings are made by the Kansas Golf Coaches Association, and are updated as of the conclusion of yesterday's tournaments.
