The bats got going a little too late for Field Kindley baseball as they fall to Pittsburg 8-4.

 

Jaxin Hershey took the mound for Coffyville holding Pittsburg scoreless in the first inning. The Nado struck first scoring one in the bottom of the inning. Hershey gave Coffeyville another scoreless inning before being replaced by Bennett Thompson in the third inning. Pittsburg took advantage of the pitching change scoring five in the inning and taking the lead. Coffeyville would use five pitchers on the day. Head Coach Will Owens says it's all about managing their arms for all the games of the week.

 

The Dragons would add some insurance runs extending their lead up to seven, 8-1. The Nado did their best to cut into the lead in the bottom of the seventh scoring three runs. Coach Owens says he likes that his team never gives up.

 

Coffeyville falls to 5-6 on the season with a double header this afternoon agianst Parsons.
