The Lady Raven softball program earned one of their biggest wins of the season, beating the Johnson County Cavaliers 2-1 in extra innings.
Johnson County entered the afternoon in third place in the KJCCC, and were 12-2 in league play. Pitcher Katelynn Siess went the full game, only allowing one earned run and retiring 24 batters.
Head Coach Ashton Friend says this is a momentum type win for the program.
CCC has found positive momentum as of late, going 3-3 in their last six conference games. Friend says putting together consecutive quality performances is the next step.
Coffeyville travels to take on Hesston tomorrow afternoon, before hosting Fort Scott on Saturday.
