One of the leaders of the Red Raven men's basketball team is headed to Division 1 to continue his basketball career.

 

Guard Brian Griffith has committed to Niagara University in New York, after two seasons with the Red Ravens.

 

Griffith was one of the best guards in the Jayhawk conference last season, averaging 17 points per game, which ranked fifth in the conference. The guard also finished Top 5 in the league in 3-pointers, converting 77 on the season.

 

Griffith is from Owensboro, Kentucky, and is the nephew of former NBA guard Darrell Griffith.

 

Brian finished his Raven career scoring at least 18 points in 12 of his final 13 games, including a career high 34 in a win over Butler in February. The Purple Eagles finished last season 11-20, and will hope Griffith can bring a spark that propels them to the top of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
