Red Raven baseball is closing in on clinching a home playoff series, after winning two road games and a series over Neosho County.
Following a two-game split at Walter Johnson Park on Thursday, the Ravens hit the road to Chanute on Friday and were able to bounce back in a big way.
Jackson Waggoner went the distance in the first game, striking out five and allowing three runs in the 12-3 win. Eric Bacon hit a home run and drove in three, while Landin Midgett went 5-5 with a home run and two RBIs.
The Ravens earned a 7-4 win in the series finale, with Zane Wilson and Caleb Peek combining for six shutout innings out of the bullpen. Bacon, Midgett, and Wyatt Pace all drove in runs.
Coffeyville will host Southwestern JV tomorrow for a doubleheader, before beginning a massive four-game series with Johnson County on Thursday.
