The Kansas City Royals found the win column for the first time in a week, scratching out a 4-3 extra inning win in the series finale with the Detroit Tigers.
Bobby Witt Jr delivered the game-winning RBI in the 10th inning, on a sacrifice fly that scored Drew Waters. Mark Canha tied the game in the eighth inning with an RBI single as well.
Manager Matt Quatraro says it's a weight off the shoulders for the entire club.
Kansas City still has work to do at 9-14, and will travel back to Kansas City today. The team opens a three-game series with the Colorado Rockies tomorrow night.
