The Kansas City Chiefs have emphasized adding players in free agency to address spots of need, aiming to return to the Super Bowl next season.
General Manager Brett Veach spoke regarding the team's free agency activity ahead of next week's NFL Draft. He says the goal in free agency each year stays the same.
One of the team's additions was signing left tackle Jaylon Moore to a two-year deal, after spending four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. Veach says despite limited playing time, Moore has the makeup to be a star.
Kansas City also added a former 49ers running back in Elijah Mitchell, who ran for nearly 1,000 yards as a rookie in 2021. Veach says a former Chiefs running back influenced the decision to pursue Mitchell.
The Chiefs have the 31st pick in next week's draft, with team needs including depth on the defensive line, secondary, and offensive line rooms.
