Red Raven baseball continues to have success at home this season, sweeping a Saturday doubleheader with Labette County to win the series.
Game 1 was an old fashioned pitchers duel, with Jackson Waggoner pitching six innings of one-run ball for CCC, and Labette's Alex Wiltz having success as well. Ethan Gillespie and Colton Ruedy delivered RBI hits for the Ravens.
Caleb Peek would come in and close the door in the seventh inning for a 2-1 win.
Game 2 was a back and forth affair, with each team having multiple leads throughout the day. CCC was able to re-take the lead in the seventh, on a two run single from Carson Miller.
After taking a 7-6 lead in the bottom of the eighth, Peek entered again to slam the door for CCC.
Coffeyville is 24-13 on the season, and 18-5 on their home field. The Ravens begin a series with Neosho County on Thursday.
