Wildcats Land Transfer Portal Guard

 

Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats have their first big transfer portal signing, landing a talented scoring guard.

 

Abdi Bashir Jr has commited to KSU following spending last season with Monmouth, and was one of the top scorers available in the portal. Bashir had 18 games this season with at least 20 points scored, and four games with 30 points scored.

 

Bashir, a Nebraska native, also led Division 1 in the regular season in 3-point shots, with 127 made triples. The sophomore averaged 20.1 points per game, ranking 15th in the nation in scoring.

 

Bashir also had interest from Alabama, Kansas, Arkansas, Kentucky, Michigan, and UCLA.
