Former Bartlesville High School coach Tommy DeSalme is heading back to the Jayhawk conference, this time with the Garden City Broncbusters.

 

DeSalme agreed to a deal to become the new head coach at Garden City, returning to the KJCCC just over a year after departing Hutchinson following three seasons. DeSalme says this was an opportunity to get back to what he loves.

 

Coach DeSalme is no stranger to the league, having coached at Independence, Cowley, and Hutchinson before the new opportunity with Garden. He says he is eager to rejoin the Jayhawk.

 

Garden City had highs and lows last season under interim coach Isiah Tisdale, who will stay on staff as the Associate Head Coach. DeSalme says the team will bring toughness and work ethic every night.

 

Garden City finished seventh place in the KJCCC last season, falling to Coffeyville in the Quarterfinals of the Region VI Tournament.
