Ravens Win Home Doubleheader with KCK

 

The Red Ravens were able to defend Walter Johnson Park, winning a crucial doubleheader against the KCK Blue Devils.

 

Coffeyville rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win Game 1 in extra innings. The Ravens scored two runs in the seventh, one in the eighth, before center fielder Eric Bacon delivered the walk-off hit to win 4-3.

 

The Raven offense got off to a stronger start in Game 2, winning the series finale 10-5. Shawn Bareno reached base three times, including a three-run home run in the bottom of the second.

 

Easton Renn and Jackson Waggoner each pitched six strong innings, with Caleb Peek closing out wins in both games.

 

CCC is now 21-12 on the season, and in third place in the KJCCC East standings. The Ravens will have a series with the Labette County Cardinals, beginning on Thursday.
