The Kansas Jayhawks received great news over the weekend, as one of their top young talents is leaving the transfer portal and returning to Lawrence.
Center Flory Bidunga has agreed to a new deal to return to the Jayhawks for his sophomore season, after averaging six points and five points per game in his freshman season. Bidunga is expected to take a larger role next season, with the graduation of Hunter Dickinson.
The 6-foot-9 freshman was a Top 10 player in the portal, and had interest from Auburn, Indiana, Duke, and Kentucky. He is a former McDonald's All-American and two-time Indiana state Player of the Year.
The announcement marks a rare instance where a player in the transfer portal returns to the original school, but the Jayhawks will use Bidunga as a feature piece as they look to get back on track in the 2025-26 season.
